  1. The Legendary singers of India issue has leaked and is selling at exorbitant prices on ebay! If that was not enough, another costly issue! The blocks of 4 collectors like me will have to shell out atleast 750 rupees for this one! I shudder the amount complete issue collectors will have to sell out?

Why so much inconsistency in pricing? I understand if 1-2 stamps were priced at 25 but 6 of them??

And I used to think the government wants to promote philately at school level!

Well done India post, well done!!

  3. Let's wait as see if the Legendary Singers stamp ever get released. Higher stamp denominations could result in lower overall stamp sales as well. That said, stamp collection is typically an expensive hobby specially in the developed countries. Historically, stamp prices in India have been low, but its possible that stamp collection could become more expensive over the next few years. The sheetlet image has not yet been seen, but its likely to contain two sets of 12 stamps each.

  6. And on the 2nd day of the sale itself, many 5 rs. stamps are sold out! Many people are buying large quantities of 5 rs. stamps for no apparent rhyme or reason!

    What's going on India Post??
